Despite the fact that many of Vermont's drivers understand the necessity of car battery testing, far fewer know the ins and outs of this voltage testing process. In order to take proper care of the electrical system that is installed in your vehicle, doing proactive tests of the automotive batter two times a year will be advantageous.

For the purpose of your next car battery test, you will need to acquire a multimeter, which is a simple piece of hardware that allows you to determine easily how many volts the battery unit has. You do not want to see a measurement of below 12.6 volts for your automotive battery.

Earthycars would also like to add that 13.7-14.7 volts is the correct range of voltage for your vehicle's battery if the engine is on at the time you perform your test with the multimeter.
