Running out of gas, blowing a tire or experiencing engine trouble can be a scary experience. The team here at Earthycars wants our clients to be prepared and safe while on the road, whether near or far. That's why we've put together these tips for how to handle a roadside emergency.

You should always keep an emergency kit handy in your car. Make sure it contains things like jumper cables, emergency flares, a first aid kit and flashlight. You may also want to keep a blanket, snacks and water in case you get stuck somewhere for an extended amount of time.

If you need to pull off the road, go as far to the side as possible so that you're safely away from traffic. Then make sure passersby can see you by setting up a flare or turning on your hazard blinkers. Call your roadside assistance company or a local tow truck for help, and wait in the car until they arrive.
